The Young Leaders have organised a school disco tonight from 6:30pm - 9:00pm. The theme is Country and Western!

Meeting Taita College Leaders
Thank you so much to Nathan and Rosalina for coming out to meet our Young Leaders. We had lots of questions that we asked, and we all enjoyed listening to their leadership journey and their advice. Looking forward to seeing you both again at Taita College in 2016!

Motivation!
Motivation, Success, Greatness! Will Smith

This week we reviewed our leadership goals and shared how classroom meetings went last week and how the organisation of our first mufti day went in Week 4. The Young Leaders will also be running a bully survey with classes over the next week to ensure that all students at AIS are safe and happy. Here is a short clip that highlights the dangers of bullying - Take a Stand
Our inspiration today came from Will Smith - check out the link above to hear his message. We can all do it! We just need to work hard and stay positive.
We are also planning ahead - next weekend is the Tumeke Taita Festival. The Young Leaders will be helping to organise a stall for Avalon Intermediate. It is great to be helping to organise an event in the community.

How are we making AIS a happier place?

Check out this clip to see our motivation for the week. Our Young Leaders are going to go out into their classrooms and communities and look for ways to make our school a happier place.
We are also organising a mufti day for Friday 27th February. The purpose of the mufti day is to raise money for the Life Flight Trust. Check out their website to find more information. Life Flight
Our Young Leaders are running their first class meetings this week - we are looking forward to taking an active role in our classes.
